[KB00059] Error 75 - Automatic update failure

Symptom:

Automatic update gives you 75 Path/File access error.

Solution for XP:

Make sure you run Movie Organizer as an administrator.

Solution for Vista:

Make sure you run Movie Organizer as an administrator.
This is something you might need to do, EVENTHOUGH you're logged in as an administrator,
Locate your Movie Organizer folder, and right-click on MovieOrganizer.exe. Select "Run as administrator".

Additional information:

In the Movie Organizer folder there are two executable files - MovieOrganizer.exe and main.exe.
When Movie Organizer is run, it's the file MovieOrganizer.exe that is run.
This is a so called launcher, which before running main.exe checks MovieOrganizer.com for new versions.
If a new version is available the launcher downloads it and tries to replace the old version with the new one.
If MovieOrganizer.exe isn't run as an administrator - this will fail and give you the error described above.

If you would like to skip the automatic update, you can:
1) Uncheck the 'Check for new versions at startup' option below the Help-menu in Movie Organizer.
2) Make sure your Movie Organizer shortcut points to main.exe instead. Now you'll never run the launcher
regardless of the setting described in 1).
